FAQs
I’ve never had chiropractic care before. What can I expect at my first visit?
It’s understandable to be nervous or apprehensive when trying something new, but we promise: Your spine and overall health will thank you for it! Check out our “What to Expect on Your First Visit” in the New Patient section to learn the specifics of what we do in our office.
I’ve been in an auto accident and am feeling pain/stiffness/soreness as a result. Can Dr. G help me feel better?
Absolutely Dr. G can make you feel better! A fair number of our patients came to us after being in an auto accident and have stayed because Dr. G made them feel so much better. We will have specific paperwork for you to fill out that will help us to go through auto insurance or an attorney.
Does Dr. G treat kids? Is there an age cut-off?
Dr. Stoddard loves treating kids! No age is too young! Dr. G’s own eldest daughter had terrible colic as a newborn, and after only one adjustment as an infant, was sleeping better and much less colicky. Refer to “Find Relief” in the General Info section to learn of all the benefits chiropractic can provide to kids and adults.
Can I go through my health insurance? Is Dr. G a provider under my insurance?
We take most insurance at our office, but coverage does change from one plan to the next. We know how difficult insurance can be to understand and we are here to help. Just give us a call and we will be happy to answer any insurance questions you may have.
What is Dr. Stoddard’s chiropractic method?
Dr. G describes his method as varied since “each patient that comes in needs individualized and specialized care.” He uses a Diversified, Palmer method, as well as the Activator Method and the Toggle Method, depending on the patient and their needs. “It is so important to me as a doctor, whose number one concern is the health of my patients, to LISTEN to my patients and work out a treatment plan TOGETHER so we can accomplish their health goals and get back to 100%.”
How does your clinic honor patient privacy?
Dr. Stoddard has a private room where patients are adjusted and where any confidential conversations will take place. We place a high priority on patient privacy and welcome any suggestion that would make you feel more comfortable.
What are your prices? Do you have any specials?
Offering the lowest possible price per visit is important to us. We want you healthy and your wallet happy. Because of this, we don’t offer any specials or promotions. If you have any questions, give us a call and we can talk about insurance and copays or our cash prices.
Do you do X-rays at your office?
Because of Dr. G’s almost 30 years of experience, x-rays are often costly and unnecessary to the diagnostic process. We also are radiation conscious and would rather not have X-ray radiation in the office. For these reasons, we do not offer X-rays at our office. If Dr. Stoddard feels it is necessary to your health, he will refer you where you can get your x-ray easily and locally.
Do you have an in-house massage therapist?
We do not have a massage therapist at this time. If Dr. G feels you would benefit from a massage therapist, he has several trusted people he would be more than happy to refer you to.
What are your regular hours?
We are open Monday through Friday, from 8am to Noon, then 2pm to 6pm. Call our office at (505) 896-1300 to schedule an appointment.
Do you offer Saturday hours if I can’t make it during the week?
Dr. Stoddard prides himself on being accessible to his patients. If you cannot make it during our regular business hours, you can call Dr. G on his cell phone to discuss an after-hours visit.
